Free scope checker
Question 1
The premises
Is your place mainly a building, or part of one?
Qualifying premises have to include at least one building. Open land on its own is not qualifying premises, though a large event held on it can still be caught.
This checker helps you understand the legislation. It is not legal advice. Determining whether premises are in scope, which tier they fall into and how capacity is assessed rests with the responsible person for the premises, and ultimately with the SIA. Assess your capacity on a basis you can justify and write down how you reached it.
